ms180, not oiling, cleaned out and reset the pump in its place with the holes. all good. also looked like the chain had been sharpened with a flat file. so thats sorted.

hs45, running problem, tweak on the meter arm. all good.

husky 435, new oil pump fitted, now runs good, and a quick sharpen.

todays drop offs. ms660, chain brake issues. so checking all the parts out before going for the exhaust.

ms260, blown piston.

now waiting for the arrival of a rotorvator, needing new tynes, complete engine service, and a good clean up, with painting and removing any rust.

So the saw is the old 051av.

Few options :

1) wait and hunt around for a 2nd hand good cylinder to come up and fit my piston to

2) buy an aftermarket 051 p&c

3) buy an aftermarket 076 p&c ( not sure what else, hear inlet manifold and exhaust....)

Bugger :sneaky2:

Wonder how much an oem cylinder is?

I had a cheap set and the dies cut a rounded poor formed thread and the taps weren't much better!

If you can wait, keep a look on ebay for an old set of decent brand ones when the Japanese manufacrtured some decent kit or old British ones - you can get some good sets coming up.

Worth also having a set of helicoils in M5 and M4/M6 also.

i wouldnt use helicoils your better off with timeserts bit dearer but worth every penny
