... once dropped, never forgotten!

Seem to remember, when the US police still used Electra Glides; if they went over or were dropped, they were forbidden to try to re-right them. Damn things being so heavy.

The 'Classic' weighs just over 900Lbs/411kg. But the police models back then, must have been considerably heavier.

(If you ever get a chance to watch 'Electra Glide in Blue', do so. A great film about hope, lost dreams and futility. Plus the scenery has a stark beauty.)

Probably about my age, I had a 400/4 Honda with a few tricks on the engine!

Those RD'S were a little crazy then they hit the YPVS on them and a 21hp 125cc bike when everyone else had 12hp, great days!

The RG500 and RD500 were pretty special, not seen one for years!

Perhaps we should start the Arbtalk old farts club, think Stubby will be up for it:thumbup:

stuuby, old fart here don't yer know . First bike at the age of 14 . BSA M20 side valve 500 single . Rigid rear end .

Got a timberwolf 125 in today.

Surprise surprise the wheel bearing has gone.

Anyone know the size of the bearings, going to strip it down tomoz but asking so I can look at ordering before I start on it.

Also got a 048 leaking fuel.

Got a husky coming in with oiling problems.

Got to order a new piston for my 051, compared it to another AT member's 076, much higher (and harder to pull).

And customs have seized my wrap handles for my 560 till I pay MORE tax, obviously not satisfied with 20% of my earnings and 20% of my purchases

Try paying 40% tax that really hurts:biggrin:

Luck of the draw buying from the states, try and get them to put gift or sample on the label.
