I've got 12 litres bottled from last year and a load more to make this year. It's nectar, great on a cold days shoot.

 

12 litres!!:001_rolleyes:

 

most ive ever made in one go was 1 litre, and that lasted me an entire christmas season

 

couldn't imagine getting through 12:lol:

Got a dustbin full of empty newky brown bottles, now just need to decide between cider or stout?

 

Anyone know any decent suppliers of bitter/stout kits?

 

A work mate of mine makes his own bitter and always tells me to do it apparantley wilkinsons do a kit for about twenty quid for 40 pints.

 

I've tried it and it is very very tasty!

Four 5 litre Demijons full of Sloe gin. Three 5 litre Demijon full of Damson Vodka. Two 3 litre jugs full of Raspberry and Blackberry Whisky. And a 25 litre cask of Sloe gin that has been stored for 12 years. The 12 year old gin is potent enough to get a flame on top. :lol: We only bring it out on special shoot days if it especially cold.

Need any help on the shoot this winter if it turns cold? Ahem..I might have some time spare.:biggrin:

 

Winter gets a lift if I have a bad cold,honey & lemon a good dose of grand marnia,(cinamon optional extra),all premixed it a bottle.

Flask of hot water to dilute to taste,very cordial!:001_smile:

I have owned this property 12 years never seen a sloe. This year found 2 bushes bursting with sloes. So if I am going to have a go this would be the year. Do you need to wait till after a frost the berries seem very hard. When you make it does it get stronger or just make it taste different and go further. :biggrin:
