Give the guy the PPE and he mite not be as scard of the machine and so start to get to grips with the job:lol: With a few days supervision/training.

 

seriously i really don't see how wearing gloves is gonna make him better at his attempt of felling with a blunt saw....do you....?

I'm not sure protection to the back of the hand would help much with that.

 

Personally if he worked for me I'd not be giving him gloves, I would take away the saw.

 

As an employer and Lantra trainer I expect all novice operators to where c gloves. After all they where designed with exactly this situation in mind.

 

Not full proof by no means but some protection. May mean he can still play the piano.:lol:

In the new lads defence, directly after felling the tree he told me that there was an issue with the chain ( something to do with the rakers) and he was very unhappy with the cut.

As for the gloves point taken.

I think he was just a little nervous of his first day with the boss watching and videoing the fell to that end I have decided to remove the video as I am sure it does not do his work justice.

but, this firm pay you in uk money - and from a uk firm, your account is in the uk and you are acting as a uk employee.
