posted around 80 firewood fliers a week ago selling seasoned hardwood at 75 quid a cube... not 1 phone call! i love the ease and cheapness of fliers just wish there was a way to get more response. what kinda fliers are you looking to distribute mate ie mine were for firewood thanks scott.

I had a girl who delivered 1000 a week for £35 you could always tell what area she had been to from the phone calls we used to get.

 

It was never vast amounts but always around 15 - 20 calls per 1000 flyers

personally i would look at having something a little more than a flyer made and get it delivered to speific areas near you that fit your criteria .

I find they work well, the key is to make them look good. Not too large or they will be thrown and pick your areas well.

 

It has worked well for me in the past, that said they are always used along side other media.

as for flyers, tried it and its not for me. most of the roaming "tree surgeons" do the same thing so i dont.

Used them for the first time this year, but i went into all the local pubs and shops with them (to advertise logs) rather than post them, i had a good return, was once told by a sales man that fliers get a one percent return, don't know if thats right or wrong.

I did it seven years ago. Got a reasonable return BUT the kind of people that use flyers want cheap tree work so actually it's a waste of time.

 

Also, have you noticed how many flyers appeared when the recession hit?!

Its getting more and more common around here to see advertising signs sold on roundabouts in towns. If i was running a tree business id be looking into buying one of these positions without doubt
