  1. just wondered if the new skylotec click harness is any better than the old skylotec kolibri? i have the kolibri and love it very comfy imo. thinking about getting a new harness soon though so just wondered if the new skylotec is an improvment on the old one? cheers in advance.
  2. nothing would drag me away from stihl saws, hedgers and brushcutters etc. but thats mainly what i do. grass cutting is just a tiny part of my business... therefore im not really wanting a bells and whistles mower for the best part of a grand. until now ive been using a mountfield rv150 that i bouhgt new in 2007 when i was just starting out. that was a 250 quid machine and its lasted me well considering the abuse its recieved! just wondered if anyone had personal experience with sanli mainly for the price!! but appreciate the comments none the less. thanks chaps.
  3. cheers all for the comments, yeah it was the price that attracted me to them. seems you get the same features as a John Deere but for half the price! handy to know the engines are good, i know they use briggs engines in some of their machines. thanks for the info again.
  4. hi all just wondered if anyone had any experience of these sanli machines particularly their rear roller mower. i dont do alot of grass work so not looking to spend too much on a mower... especially as there are too many people popping down to b and q and spending 100 quid on a mower then massively undercutting and undervaluing our businesses! rant over... any reccommendations on mowers around the £250 to £500 price bracket greatley appreciated. cheers in advance scott.
  5. hi all i sold my old husky hedge cutter... wish i hadnt now! i removed the cutters for postage. standard practice i thought?! anyways the chap that bought it is moaning coz he doesnt know how to put the cutter back on... i keep trying to be polite and explain lol but its a struggle. does anyone know where i can get a assembly guide/parts diagram i could email the chap please? what makes it worse is hes moaning coz he paid 140 quid for a husky hedge cutter in great nick i n my opinion 140 is a bargain!! none so queer as folk.
  6. oh ok thankyou im new to all this as you can tell!! :sneaky2:i get ya!! cheers.
  7. :001_tt2:i love it! thanks alot only thing im worried about is as im so young at the time i didnt have business insurance, or a waste disposal certificate will this affect me in anyway?
  8. thing is they only owe me £125 but im only 19 that £125 goes along way especially in these hard times! also i had no terms of sale on myinvoices my bad! the reason for not paying was my akward working hours even though no working hours had ever been discussed! and i lost them clients as i was laying a path between their house and aromatherapy shed lol. even though there was never a single client there when i was there!!
  9. i done a job for a customer cut a long story short they still owe me money 3 months on. today i sent them a message saying if i dont recieve any payment by monday then all the soil and rubble i took away i will be taking back for as far as im concerned i havnt been paid for this. i get a message back saying if i send another "threatening message" they will involve the police... to me that sounds like a threat! i was just wondering if you chaps believe im within my rights to take this material back? any input greatley appreciated.

posted around 80 firewood fliers a week ago selling seasoned hardwood at 75 quid a cube... not 1 phone call! i love the ease and cheapness of fliers just wish there was a way to get more response. what kinda fliers are you looking to distribute mate ie mine were for firewood thanks scott.
  11. got the same weedkiller myself even with the leaflet its crazy, full of different mixes i find 100ml in 10 to 12 litres works well for me does depend what you are spraying though but for general broad leaved weeds that should be sufficient hope this helps...
  12. this may be an option... im sure the missus wont mind sittin on me lap lol thanks for the advice.
  13. yep sounds good thanks for the advice!!
  14. ye thanks alot for your help very much appreciated:biggrin:
  15. navaras are a rough ride compared to something like a discovery, the turning circle is terrible and they cant pull much weight unless you get one with the big clutch. theyre not too bad off road but they do have a brilliant chassis rating so depends if you want comfort and pulling power or just a hardened run about really.
  16. dont think you should burn treated wood... but if its free and for your own private fire i dont see why not... chuck it on!!
  17. With a nice engineering vice, a file and handle, one of these File gauges - Filing equipment (much better then the file holder gauges) and a few months practice you can have a 15'' bar sorted in under 5mins, much less time then all the arsing with the electric ones. would like one of these gauges myself seen afew of them now however i run stihl saws and stihl bars and chains with huskys i believe there is a 10% incline in the angle compared to stihl chains that you sharpen level if you know what i mean so wouild a husky gauge be ok on a stihl? im thinking no...
  18. all work i do is alone except when im up a tree and need a groundie... luckily get a friend to do that whos still at colledge on the part time basis. really handy as saves hassle and money. as for work/play cant get enough work done... especially when the missus drags me round hers! shouldnt complain i spose just dont seem like theres enough hours in the day!
  19. got about 2,000 to spend plus whatever for insurance... i say whatever on insurance but hoping to keep it under 9,000 way under!!
  20. Christ on a bike!! thats truly awful, I apologise for my terrible driving when I was your age. you are paying for it. haha lol no worries!! such is life guess i will just struggle on with small kit and dream on...
  21. cant get a quote for business insurance for a tipper!! wuld love 1 tho, social dom and pleasure quote is 9,000!
  22. ye lol thanks was thinking pickup and trailer but i would still be limited to around 1.5m3 of logs at a time as the restriction is 750kg with a trailer includin the trailers weight ... however not sure how much weight the pickup would pull lol. no longer have the truck using it all day every day for 8 months killed the preg!!! thanks for your advice tho.
