You left yourself open on this 1 Larry, the second you never mentioned money the cat owner realised they could treat you like the way she did, not everyone is as nice as you mate.

As far as free advertising, well all that happens now is that every cat owner who treats tiddles better than a human is going to be on your case.

if you want to rescue cats and meet woman, Then just put an advert in the paper for £25 and spend £15 on a shirt, and go to the pub and buy a nice girl a drink, that way everyone knows where they stand

Larry Last Monday I had a phone call last week from one of our ground maintenance team while they were out cutting grass. He said " there is a bloke climbing one of our trees using a ladder and cutting branches off making hell of a mess". I arrived at the tree about 30 minutes later to find a crowd of people and branches around a lime tree, with the bloke now stuck half way up the tree. I was told that a little girls cat had been stuck up the tree all week end, the RSPCA and fire service would not attend so they were tring to rescue the cat themselves. I phoned my climbing colleague Craig and within 30 minutes we grabbed the cat and brought it down safely returning it to the little girl. Every body there could not thank us enough and were very grateful we could help.

whoever called you out invoice. Simple. Would have done it for free if the owner was a nice person...but you say she was ungrateful? so bill them.

Carlo I am proud of you. Sometimes when someone does something for someone else and there is no thanks, that happens. Same for non payment for services rendered, even though no bill was submitted, fuel cost were going to be covered by some one.

Your selfless act of kindness and compasion for a total stranger and her beloved pet cat speaks volumes for you as a person and a member of this forum. I commend you.
