I think i got a eucalyptus tree in my garden that i want cutting down so i had a quote from someone and they wanted £300 and thats not taking the tree away, so i was wondering if someone could give me a rough price how much i should be charged if a tree surgeon did the work with and without taking the tree away. The tree is about 40 foot high and the branches are about 10 foot long.

how long is a piece of string? you will need pics and even then it wont be an accurate estimate. Your best option is to get a few quotes from different people and see the prices from that. Just make sure they have insurance and are legit.

depends, but its about risk - £300 would be fair if the waste was removed, even though someone might do it for £100:lol:

How can you say it's fair when you know nothing about the job?

A pile of money about this high and so long.

I'll do for a slightly smaller pile of money lol

May I quote " Arbtalk.co.uk discussion forum for arborists" with due respect as you maybe a potential client if you ask vague questions expect vague and cynical replys.
