he speaks wisly, i use a timberwolf 190 traked and its perfect for those jobs were u can chip onsite but cant get a truck and a vechical to pull a road tow in,, but i would go for a traked 190 TURBO if i bought 1, just a little bit more power

I'd love a nice tracked as my next second chipper but it seems I could by a decent range rover for the same price as a ropey tracked

I've recently gone from a kwikchip 431 to a Bandit 150xp. A jump from 9" to 12" means a lot less snedding and neatening up big forks. At 1.5tonnes and thats the PTO version its big and heavy.

 

I'm mainly forestry/estate work so it's perfect for that. Not sure i'd want to drag it around the streets of St. Albans doing domestic arb though. Your right about the sub 750kg demand. The Bandit was a reposesion job sold through the Bandit dealers and it was 10k with less that 1 hours use.

Thought about that, but the 4wd will tow to most (not all) places. I do like having different options however...

get a tracky chipper iv had 1, for 5,yrs ther just so versitile ,back gardns,restricked ares,site jobs ,

tracked one on a low trailer so you can still use it like a tow behind as well. Thw one I use a fair bit (TW150) has had a hydraulic winch rigged up on it too and gets used for pulling leaners and works very well for pulling conny hedges out. We even had it running a splitter on a job last week too.
