Ive had a mate like that done it to his lurcher. I said listen mate if shouted you across the street then I smacked you, the next time I shouted would you come over?

RSPCA are useless. I know of a lad who has been banned from owning dogs because he broke his dos leg after beating it and left it for weeks before taking it to the vet. He now has another dog, RSPCA have been informed and done nothing.

I am afaid I would of gone over and caused a seen as sadly if the person is hitting the dog openly then Its lightly the poor dog is getting regular beatings at home . For some people it's a way of life and it dies not allways stop at the dog at home .

Holding back due to fear of knives and the like just means that scum bags can do as they please.

 

As others have said if you fear for your safety stay in the car and shout through the window or ring the police and have them on the line while your speaking to the scrotbag.

 

But in my experience these kind of people are cowards and if you wade in like you mean business they soon back down.
