Waterproof jackets

I was carving for 3 hours in constant rain this morning and got totally soaked in my new Stein. Certainly not waterproof.

Stupid question ---

Are the clark cut and climb jackets only available from clarks?

Beacuse I would like to try one on before making the plunge

I just cant get on with waterproofs when climbing. so i just wear either an under armour longsleeve vest or the nike one that rooney wears. You get wet but stay warm without getting caught up or feeling sweaty n restricted all day! Plus waterproofs are for girls!!! lol

I became disillusioned with waterproofs a long time ago, I now use 'softshell' clothing which is not 100% waterproof but keeps you warm and wet, is hard wearing and dries quickly.

just wear a t shirt underneath when climbing, not too hot not too cold... quality stuff.

Just to update, I have had this for 5 months now, its still waterproof. I wore it during last weeks storm in some torrential horizontal driven rain and was totally dry all day.

 

Probably the best waterproof I have owned....

Flexothane all the way for me it's the best stuff I have ever brought it's fully waterproof and washable with no reproofing ever needed you can wash as often as you like And it comes out like new it's also breathable And it's really light to ware . Worth every penny

I just bought the Husqvarna Rain Jacket, looks sound don't know how breathable it will be though!
