  1. Cheers, will send him a message!
  2. Evening all, I have a TP 150 road towable and there's a few spots that could do with a touch up. Does anyone know the paint code for the red on all TPs? Or had some off a local dealer? Thanks, Jay
  3. Looks good Craig, a fair change from that hedge before.
  4. Berghaus Deluge trousers - perfect for staying dry but i doubt they would stand up to wading through gorse and other tough vegetation. The 3/4 zip up the side is handy for changing without having to take your boots off.
  5. Cool, thanks for the feedback guys! I have a meeting with them next week but i wasn't sure how relevant it was to this industry.
  6. Hello, Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with FSB or is actually a member? Is it worth it? The only advantage i can see is the legal help if you do get a tax investigation is there any other benefits? Thanks, Jay
  7. Don't suppose you know if any of it is compatible with a TP150?
  8. Hello, Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with buying/designing a website and domain from GoDaddy.com? I saw an advert on the TV the other day and decided to give it a go, so far so good! Being a relatively new business I thought I'd give it a go to try and keep costs down. Their website builder seems pretty simple and they have a lot of templates which are easy to customise. One problem, does anyone know how I can rotate my pictures? tried doing it before I upload them but some of them keep coming up sideways I'm maybe missing something very simple. Jay
  9. I studied the Level 3 at Barony last year and highly recommend it, there is a lot of theory work but its all relevant and stands you in good stead. There is the opportunity to do more training but the course content comes first obviously. It was Stephen Hailes from H W Training that did my assessments on the course and they are involved in other training at Barony from time to time, very knowledgeable and easy to understand, as well as a good laugh. Jay
  10. The course covers the training on 38/39 but you have to arrange the assessment outwith the course. They normally do domestic tree jobs to raise money to cover assessment costs.
  11. If you have any details why don't you be a good Samaritan and report them to the police? You might get the reward. I have a feeling your resentment towards Mr Gregor may cloud your judgement though.
  12. Thanks for the support. Fingers crossed, it has been shared on facebook across the country and he's been receiving lots of calls and leads. It will be an estimated £80,000 loss if they don't get back and hopefully the ewes aren't in too much stress being so close to lambing.
  13. Well we can only hope, the information has been shared across the UK so hopefully something comes up but I know it is a longshot. He's looking at a huge loss so it's definitely worth putting in the effort to spread the word.
  14. Here is a picture of some of the sheep
  15. Hi all, I know this isn't tree related but hopefully some of you can help. The other day a friend of mine had 31 of his pedigree Beltex ewes stolen from his farm in Aberdeenshire. The sheep could be anywhere in the country by now. The electric fence had been cut under the cover of darkness and sheep loaded up. The ewes are heavily pregnant and expected to lamb within the next week, all carrying twins. He has been building his flock over the last 10 years to his desired standard and spent a lot of time and money on them. The sheep stolen are to be worth a high five figure sum and it is essential they are returned. They are all Beltex ewes with double tags and blue identification numbers stamped on their backs between 12 and 72. There is a suspected vehicle which has been spotted near the area where the fence was cut which is a black pickup with some sort of canopy and towing an ifor Williams TA510 14' trailer which had been confirmed by police forensics. If you see any sheep matching the description or any unusual movements then please get in contact. There is also a substantial reward for any information that leads to the safe return of the sheep. I hope you will all keep a look out and spread the word, it may not be tree related but I'm sure we can all relate or imagine how it would feel to lose all of our hard work and such a financial loss. If you see anything you can contact myself and will put you in contact with the farmer or contact the Police, it is Police Scotland Grampian area which are dealing with the case. Jay
  16. Liked! Feel free to return the favour still very much in the early stages: https://www.facebook.com/jstreeservices Any feedback also appreciated!
  17. Had an email from Honey Brothers, they're doing some black Friday deals
  18. I used to use an ex Forestry Commission Renault Kangoo Trekka van a couple years back when I was 20 years old: business insurance was about £1700 if I remember correctly, it couldn't tow a great amount and got dizzy with the flumes from all the tools in the back. 3 years on I have just bought a Mitsubishi L200 and business insurance is £580, I can throw anything in the back and tow almost twice the amount. I have a tipping trailer and hire chippers as and when I need them. It works well with me however I still do a lot of subcontracting and it is also my personal car otherwise I would have gone with a transit tipper. Goes to show what a couple years can do. Would have to say Transit tipper is the best option in my opinion. Jay
  19. The motorways north of the border are plain sailing in comparison 8 hours it took to get back to college in Dumfries, just glad I wasn't heading home Jay

  21. It's still £30 and a days use I'd rather not spend Jay
  22. He's going to end up with an Oregon chain as a nose piercing if he doesn't stop running about revving the saw.
  23. Cheers glark, Just had a look at the trailer and stump grinder weight etc, gives me a better insight. Last tipping trailer I used was quite high so always been a bit wary. Jay
  24. I'm interested to see how this thread goes, I've been looking at getting a tipping trailer myself only problem and hopefully someone can help me out on this, I know they are a bit higher than a standard drop side, does this have any effect on loading on a tracked Timberwolf? I know I would have to find one with a big enough payload but would there be problems with balance on corners etc with the height? Sorry New Boy if I hijacked a bit there a wee bit there Jay
