Landy kit

After looking at lots of hilux's, navara's and l200's i ended up buying a 110 200tdi Landy to use for work. Already provedto be really useful, mainly because of its towing capacity. I'd like to know from any Landy owners what kit or bits you've brought for yours that you can recommend to help with tree surgery/forestry? Like wise anything you've brought that has turned out to be a waste of cash.

Cheers All

Yep,get it gone right over by someone who knows them well,it will pay dividends.

Also its no bad thing to drain every fluid and replace with good quality fresh stuff, mine gets done every 6000 miles.

Oh & a set of ear plugs & a bilge pump!

They arn't very secure.

A good lock and a security cable or chain is inexpensive.

Fix one end down securely and run it through the handles of your saws if you're out of sight of the vehicle.

It might just prevent an opportunist thief.

I also have a 200tdi and had one of these fitted about a month ago:

AlliSport LandRover Defender 200Tdi Uprated Intercooler | eBay UK

Also had it 'tuned' by Allisport. (tweaked fueling and increased turbo pressure)

The difference is remarkable - loads more power and better mpg (10%)

It will pay for itself in about 10 tank fulls. (As long as it does not self destruct before then!)

there's not much you need really, they're very good as they are. No need for snorkels, bullbars and "one life live it" stickers!

Make sure you always have on board a good selection of hammers, pliers, WD40, spare oils, etc etc... you will need them!
