Truck with crane/Hiab SE.

Anyone on here with a crane on a vehicle with timber carrying capacity.

I have a large Beech to fell in Caterham (CR3 postcode).

The tree sits 6m from road side and has a DBH of roughly 4.5ft.

The wood is free to the person who lifts it.

Have texted a guy I know a few miles from Caterham who has a Mog with crane trailer. Will let you know the result.

Sadly that is he: hey ho. It wasn't big enough for the couple of lumps of WRC I had for him last year either until the 064 got warmed up!

Yup, what we had to do but I'd been following instructions from someone who wasn't the driver!

Now I have an Ailanthus in Lewisham to fell. Distance from tree to kerb is 4m and there is a 3ft tall railing between the road and pavement. Two stems just under 36inches DBH.

Easy job with a good bit of wood for whoever wants it.

if you want a fat crane on a flatbed truck look at gatwick group, costs a fair bit but they can do a lot.
