What about Husqvarna Hedge Trimmers - saw one today for the £250-350 mark depending on model. Any thoughts on these?

I had a Husqvarna (can't remember the model no) a few years ago and it proved really fragile. Every time it hit a piece of wire or a particularly tough branch and the blades stopped suddenly it smashed the gearbox. Eventually I got rid of it and replaced it with a cheap and cheerful Robin one and it's been brilliant :thumbup1:

I have always had Echo but have just had to replace my long reach trimmer. I bought a shindaiwa from Abbey Garden Sales which cost £308 delivered on special offer. Its brilliant, been using it 2 weeks now and it is so much better than I expected, just as good as the echo but better balanced. 2 year commercial warranty. If you are looking for a long reach I really think it should be considered.
