another question, is that your own heras fencing set-up?

If so how do you transport it all and how long does it take to set up? Tis a good way of keeping unwanted people out of the work site:biggrin:

Very nice pics by the way, looked like some good jobs:thumbup:

the cedar was deamed to much of a risk to climb as it was well dead so the mewp was the quickest and safest way and we felled the top out as it was getting to tall for the mewp to reach. was well cool when the top came out and the top was so big we had the 880 with 47in bar on it.

This is in no way a criticism of this job, it looks like a great job carried out extremely well!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbup1:

But to suggest that climbing that Cedar would be more dangerous than taking out that huge top from a MEWP is just ridiculous!!

This is the problem when those who don't understand our work (HSE and the like) start dictating how it should be done on the grounds of safety.

Agreed, the worstcase scenario with the MEWP is way worse than with climbing! And the potential for that worst case scenario happening is quite high.
