Turning colder here, but surely people would have got their winter stocks in by now? One factor maybe was last year's mild winter - we only used around 3/4 of the wood I had stacked ready, so we need less for this winter.

I regularly deliver to people who don't order until there's 1 nights burning left in the log store, people just aren't stocking up. maybe fast delivery is a problem I had 3 orders delivered same day on wed, 1 of them within 15 min of ordering so they could be taking that for granted.

Birnam, but he's either moved or is moving to Aberfeldy.

 

I'm surprised aberfeldy can keep 1 merchant in business never mind 2 and both of them saying they do 1500 tons+ per year. unless they are running down the A82 into glasgow maybe.

Sales not helped by a new guy on the block doing 1.3 cu mtre seasoned hardwood logs for £80,compared to most of us charging £100.
