Been up in bedford today working on a pig farm, it was really cold (compared to what we've been used to)........ I passed a really well organised firewood yard, that seemed to be doing just fine....... If the artics that were taking pallets full of nets out were turning a profit!

If that's the yard I think it is they send a lot well up into Scotland, pre-priced nets @ £3.25 from memory. Not sure where the profit comes in, must be just on the quantity I guess!

How do you mean?

Just drive forward??

How do you find that? We were thinking of getting a blade for the Defender ourselves. Does the blade angle, or do you just shove the snow forwards?

Currently using this, which a bit slow but at least can clear where there's nowhere to the side for a plough to push the snow ..

I have only just got the defender one so time will tell, It angles left to right with 5 positions. I have yet to put the little winch in the bumper that lifts it up and down from in the cab.

I am only going to be using them on supermarket car parks not roads.

Cheers. I wonder how well it will work angled. When I used a blade on the back of a small tractor it used to push the tractor to the side if the blade was angled too much. That only really worked for clearing an area (like you say) rather than ploughing a track. I think for the latter you really need a V plough and to keep moving fast enough.

Don't think so jon mate as I am contracted to clear Asda and Morrisons mini supermarkets and the car parks only have about 35 spaces, I used a compact tractor up until now with no problems only I got cold! Will work just fine for my requirements, Thanks.
