you have been with the same company for 3 years, you are reliable, very little time off through the year, decent local knowledge of locations, you can drive a tipper and tow, you get on in all weathers, basically, how much would you pay a day rate, employed for someone like this?

Qualifications...

nptc 30,31,36&38 and will be doing cs39 this year.

thanks guys :thumbup1:

I'd go out on my own if you are not happy with the guaranteed rate?

If you havent had a raise in 3 years, ask (politely) if its possible to have one now? Point out what you feel are your positive points (sell yourself!) Bear in mind these are tough times for all, bosses included, and a guaranteed 60 is better than a maybe 100, good luck! :001_smile:

A Good groundy should be able to fell any tree put in front of him, be good on the ropes- speed lining, lowering etc, have a towing license, know chipper and how to maintain it and be good with the customers. £100-£120 for an experienced old hand... £60-£80 for someone who is starting out. It also depends if your north or south...

Edited by big fell!
