Does anyone use an avant for tree work, if so are they any good are very limited in what they can lift etc?

I have just got this one and although I have not used it in tree work much, it has been invaluable around the yard and in the process of me moving yards to just over the road.

 

I trialed it on a woodland job I did recently and it exceeded my expectations. This little machine that weighs not much more than a ton was picking up huge lumps of timber and FULL trees and moving them with ease

 

I have also just quoted and won, a very big domestic job where this machine gave me the time saving ability, to quote much cheaper than anyone else and still make the same amount of profit. Access to this jobs site is very poor and awkward to get the timber out, but perfect for this little machine to shine at what it does best

Ball park, how much was that one in the picture? I know there is also a lot of different heads you can get for them including, I believe a stumpgrinder.

I know two landscapers that use them. What they can lift depends on the model ranges from 400kg to over 1 ton. They both swear by them - best bit of kit they've bought for moving pallets of plants around and lighter pallets of bark and compost and moving soil and bulk mulch - coupled with being easy to transport around on a trailer. With a grab attachment on the front they'd be perfect for tree work. There's an excellent dealer over here who may be able to help your source one either second hand or new - Rodney Slane at Essener Equipment Co 028 867 37181. The range of attachments is incredible. One would be high up on my wish list this year for kit probably a 600 range one.

We run avant 520 very good tool moving logs cord wood pushing up brush loading chipper,upped hydraulic pressure lifts 850kgs little unstable on slopes, so long as you realise its not a 3cx jcb
