and hence why folk assume wood can be had for free

 

Indeed!!

 

And why they keep stopping and pestering me for free wood and when I say no they look at me like I shot their dog!!!!!!!!!!

Why dont you get a firewodd merchant in and give or sell it to him if you dont want it and cant cart it away. If i have small amounts like that i give it all to a local merchant for free at the time, and get help off him in other ways (use of forestry winch etc ) later. Bigger amounts he pays me for.

The firewood boys are crying out for wood at the mo, esp hardwood FFS!

I am merely highlighting why we should not be so suprised at the "chancers" for every one of these give aways perpetuates it.

 

You,ll always have chancers after free wood . Likewise the can you just chancers . Who bug me more .

If its not viable to take it away,whats the harm on posting on here,(website for arborists etc)that the timber is no cost,one of us can have a few quid out of Apbell's consideration in this post,in these times that gets the thumbs up from me,seems you cant win sometimes.

The scroungers are already just that,& I would not knock an idea for fear of encouraging them,they are born that way!
