Hi everyone

I have been working with my mate today. The chipper we have been using is a entec. The problem is hydraulic oil seems to be getter warmer than normal, As a result the rollers are stopping as you feed it. The only way to get the rollers working is to put it in reverse. Could anyone help please to sort the problem out.:001_smile:

Cheers Carl

Are you sure its the oil getting too hot and not lumps of chip getting lodged under the bottom roller? Unless the oil is stupidly hot it will still pump and hence turn the rollers

This is exactly what i'd say the problem is as well. I have the same problem with bits of wood.

Struggling on the in feed and free rotation in the out feed can be a symptom of a collapsed roller bearing.

The roller grabs the casing on the in feed because of the angular profile but will reverse because the chamfer on the back allows it to ride over the casing.

Hi there after some advice/ parts for an entec 6" chipper

I am having problems with the feed rollers and beleive the problem to be the tension on the hydraulic pump belt. The aluminium pulley that it sits in looks worn as the top of the belt sits about 5mm deep inside the pully.

The mount for the hydraulic pump is ajustable and looks like it has been adjusted to its max. I am looking for a pulley either aluminium or i think they made a metal one. It is 160mm diameter.

Can I just get a belt that is slightly smaller to get the tension I need? Or do I need to get a new/second hand pulley.

I would be grateful for any advice/parts or HELP. 07818018400
