Unimogs rock thread

Ian said your engine had seized. The guys know what they are doing but always takes longer than they say ! I was getting chipper chute extended and few small bits on body they fabricated. I bought my u1600 off them late last year. They built chip box + fitted cameras to each side of chipper to help out at junctions !

 

Picked up the My mog and Is that your Mog in Park Unimog now? What happened to the chip box does not look happy!

Just curious lads can you get any right hand drive mogs or are they all left hand drive? I was just browsing on atkinson vos looking at dream arb equipment (as you do:001_tongue:) and the ones they are selling on there are all left hand drive im sure?

Most are LHD, but you can get RHD in the square cab models, but they then only have two seats not three and the gear stick is a very long bendy affair.

I've also seen that Unimog U20. Looks like a possible good alternative for tree work. Don't know about price though.

Brilliant investment if you plan on having 1 vehicle for 20 years of tree work.

The U20 is a very good piece of kit.

We had that on demo a while ago and its much more civilised to drive on the road than our U1200 and U1500, probably not as good in extreme off road situations (I didn't get the chance to go very far off road) but a good compromise.

Some agric tyres and it'll be a different beast, lots of technology and neat touches both standard and fitted by ACP.

i did notice that the ground clearence on the hyd tank and cooler was not that great , im sure in less demanding conditions it would be an amazing tool though
