Sorry to hear that, hope the insurance covers it at least. Can think of plenty of names I'd like to call these people, all of which would get me booted of the site. Maybe we should start cutting a few hands off.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Here in the states we have a alarm company called ADT. Although I do not work for ADT or own any stock in said company, I do know that they offer a app. that you can have with your phone. This can provide the owner critical time to catch the perks and maybe alert law enforcement as well. Just a suggestion.

Sorry to hear......

Car boot season on its way lighter evenings and wandering eyes.

Got done a couple of years back but found my stuff a day later being sold at local car boot.....sweet !

Not been touched since 'touch wood' which by luck happens everyday. mmmm

If it does I got the blokes address and will just take it out on him again..........

Time to dust off my traps me thinks

All my saws (well theres only 3) have my name on them done with a soldering iron. I know you could just replace all the casings etc but these sticky fingerd people usually just sell on straight away, or stole to order etc.. Not arsed about names etc..

My old boss had 2 large "site safe" boxes which were really good. Locked away in an alarmed concrete building with 3 decent padlocks on the door (all different) oh, and a good night vision cctv camera looking right at the building. It costs alot of money but pays for itself in the end.

What I do is keep my saws together with a bike lock around the handles, and then lock them away etc..

I am thinking an alarm system like they have in shops to stop people pinching expensive items would be good - some sort of high power alarm and a simple jack plug connection on the saw to the alarm system.

There are plenty of things you could do but mostly would be "frowned" on by the law.
