MS460 Air Filter - seems to be leaking fine dust...?

My almost new MS460 has a bizarre problem; despite checking the filter aint broke and seals properly, the innerds of it and the parts it is supposed to protect i.e. the carb inlet (particularly the compensator) are getting covered with fine dust and quickly. The photos don't really show what's going on but clearly I'm not happy with my nice new engine sucking in crap. Is this a known 460 issue?

The plastic filter mesh stuff in the pics 3 & 4 i.e. that which is integratrated with the black plastic 'bulkhead' seems to get very highly loaded with dust on the side you can see which is completely open to the carb inlet - seems totally wrong...

Note pics taken after cleaning - my bad.

Has long been a problem of all the Stihl filters (there's been a few threads on the subject).

You can get an outer and inner foam lining but I found using this reduced the power of the saw.

I just keep regularly cleaning the filter and housing.
