We are looking at a new 4x4, I think a disco can tow a 3.5t trailer and possibly the 110's are there others?

The 90 110 and 130 Landrovers all have 3500kg towing capacity (page 37 Landrover Defender brochure 2011) The new 110's also have 1000kg payload - so you can get the vat back ever on the fancy Station wagons.

Or get a heavy duty hicap 110, we can carry 1.5tons in the back of ours, then tow 3.5ton behind it to.

i'd always go for a landrover even if budget wasn't an issue, the low ratio gears on the transfer box are awesome for slow controlled manouvering without sitting on the clutch, only drawback i can think of is they don't work when dirty:thumbup::thumbup: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOe-_Imh6yE]YouTube - muddy fail 2[/ame] using the low range gears they will tow far more than 3.5t, try typing 'landy towing wagon in snow' in youtube:thumbup1:

All the discoveries from day one, all the defenders all range rovers. Isuzu tropper lwb . Landcruiser Amozon even the old ones. Dahatsu fourtrack (believe it or not ) Nissan Patrol ( but no low down torque and gearbox not great ) Mercedes G wagon.

Stuff that defo does not tow anywhere near without dropping clutches Ranger, Navaraa, mit l200, susuki, shogun, toyota colorado, free lander, most of the soft roaders, hilux.

As far as I'm aware, only the LandRover range can tow 3.5t in that range of vehicle. Can you imagine that much behind a 90! Now that would be a tad scary at times.!

Better than that - the old Daihatsu Four track were also rated for 3500kg towing. And yes they were a nightmare and with a cattle trailer on and some frisky animals in the back they'd spin you around 180 on a regular bases:ohmy:
