how much are you guys paying? NFU are after £540 for a 30 year old machine:thumbdown: They wont do it agricultural, only special vehicle.

Hi, i have got a U1700l insured with NFU. £208 per year agricultural and contracting

My local nfu office is same unless I own a farm or a woodland , no to tractor , worst part is as a tractor you get some implements ( 3 I think ) included in the covere but as a special veh only the vehicle / tractor

try jcb insurance steve i remember a couple of years ago someone i know had the same problem and jcb sorted it more reasonably. i assume its still the case.

The NFU here insured both a U421 and a U417 (Registered as Agricultural vehicles) and include attached/detached equipments. I would ask to talk to the local area Manager if the small local office is unwilling to help.

 

If you do some woodland work then no problems. Do not have to be a landowner/farmer!!

cheers guys, they said i had to be a farmer. It was previously insured through nfu as a tractor with a diferent branch:confused1:

They have also put my Patrol up £350 a year, it was too expensive at £500 i thought last year, hence why i am going elsewhere for that:sneaky2:

steve have you tried a different office iv never had a prob withe the nfu.
