It's about a meter long by 40cms wide, I did consider taking the bark off but it's for a friend who's just finished an extension and had tree wall paper, she chose that top off the ones I had ready to use so it was kind of along those lines she wanted some thing natural looking like branches for legs!!! Could not quite figure out how I could do that so the first cut of some old ash boards came in handy , the bark has been planed and sanded so it's not to harsh a contrast i think , she has not seen it yet so if it's not working constructive comments please!!

Cheers for the comments,Carl I will ask her what she thinks, wont take a lot to get rid of ,maybe it matches the wall paper lol.

Rob I need to order some ripping chain soon!

Graham the bark it seems on ash does not want to leave I felled and planked that tree over two years ago the timber seems dry and the bark is not moving one bit!!As gibbon says felled in winter it seems to hold
