Timberwolf bearings

My last set of bearings lasted about 5 machine hours, they were fitted by my loacal TW dealer whos opinion and workmanship I trust, he says they rearly go even from poor blades the reason they went was a bit of Cordaline had went twisted around the bearing and broke something, he showed me and was correct. was only £120+ vat supplied at fitted,

That seems cheap mate I've been wondering how much it costs but not got round to checking. Ours has only done 500 hrs but I wouldn't mind changing bearings for peace of mind. How often do you lads change oil and filters on your chippers? I change oil on my pick up every 3000 miles but unsure with the chipper

every 100hrs,

depends on the engine air cooled service times are usually shorter than water cooled and depends on the oils used and the agressiveness of the work its done !

 

but anywhere between 100 and 300 hours is the usuall check the manual or ring the manufacture !

 

there recomendations are there for good reason lol !
