Cerin’s post got me thinking wondering how many will actually admit to using a ladder?

I certainly believe in sweating as little as possible so my ladder gets used a fair bit (as does my HT75).

I do of course always put my climbing line into the tree first, fully test my anchor point and have the ladder footed.

Honest answers if possible :001_tongue:

Yesterday I deadwooded and crownlifted 18 large trees, with just me and a groundy.

Throw bagged each one, installed a line while my groundy throwbagged the next, ladders up to take me up the first twenty foot of each, tending slack on my lockjack as I went up the ladder

20ft x 18 = 360ft of body thrusting saved on.

I as knackered at the end of the day, I would have been absolutely knckered without the ladders

Dont even own one. Certainly dont use one for getting into a tree in a normal days work. Last time I used one was to put up a new tv aerial, anf if I could have footlocked up to the chimney stack I would have!
