Evenin all,

 

Has anyone read this months E A? Some one told me about the Cut and Hold article featured by HSE, not allowed to do it anymore? Can you please expand on the article.

I dont think your suppose to any way, as every AFAG guide clutching college student on here will tell you,

However its quick and easy. I never got a E.A with my Fbt

there's a couple of articles in the winter 2010 AA newsletter mag, concerning one handed chainsaw use. there's a couple of stories about serious accidents as a result of one handed use.

i'll scan it when i have time

Cheers Alex, only mention it cos a prospective employer says he implements this to all staff, which makes the job even harder.... HSE B$****ks

if it is the article that i think you are on about it is about a tree surgeon writing about his experiance of cutting and holding, he was cutting with the saw between his arm and the branch when he slipped and cut into his forearm. He then went on to describe the long process of recovery and how he still hasnt recovered full use of his arm/hand due to nerve damage. may of got the wrong article got shown it by the boss of one of the companies i subbie for, worth a read if you can get hold of a copy
