2010-good year or not?

seems to be a lot of blame on this thread, too much focus on why you wont succeed next year:001_rolleyes:. Being able to swing through a tree with a saw isnt the tricky part, running a business is. Focus on learning new business skills and how to make what you have work for you. :001_smile:

Me i had a great 2010 and looking forward to 2011:thumbup1:

spot on- I see so many guys fail in business though they were good practitioners of their trade. You still got to put in a full days work and then some to make a business successful. Too many opt for the long lie ins /early finishes/ days off to do whatever.

Having said that I suspect anyone starting out these days would have a tough time whatever they did.

Worst year of my life so far Hoping 2011 will be alot better and let me enjoy life again

As much as you can get to know someone on a forum, as I've got to know you Tom from your posts I've come to quite like you.

I hope next year is better for you mate, stick at it and you'll get where you are going. I'm a bit older than you as you know and I have a tough year ahead, hopefully leaving England again to follow my dreams.

Good luck to you and good luck to me, I'm gonna need it:thumbup1:

The last year has been OK really, a lot less climbing than I've ever done, which is good, still not advertising which is something that I should really start to do and heavily thinking of doing LOLER checks in the new year so I can climb even less.

But, nothing is certain, who knows what will happen.

I've not totted up my turnover for the year, but I'm pretty sure its my best so far. I certainly have more cash in the bank than at this time in any previous year. I think the recession gave me the kick up the arse that I needed.

The vat rise will be a pain. But we all have to deal with it so that's that.
