I didnt know there was a 6.30 in the morning

Yup its still there - its around that time in between the first and second coffee of the day usualy obtained from McDonalds so you can relieve yourself from the laxative effect of last nights ale and the first coffee

Hunters moon eh? Awesome - its gonna be cold so should be clear skies! brutal! Gonna have me some fun!

had a great view of it in Dumfries...fantastic crisp frosty morning (-9) with clear sky. Watched the moon fade away and then turn a beautiful shade of pinky red and I even saw a shooting star.

thanks for the heads up on this Judge, although you had me set my radio alarm clock for 6am and then the lady on the news said that the total eclipse would take place at 7.40am! Thanks for that :001_tongue:

Well done -- you got it. It's the shadow of the Earth that's crossing the moon. The moon goes brown because the sunlight is travelling through the edge of the Earth's atmosphere on its way to hitting the moon; so it goes red -- same as the sun goes red when we see it rising or setting over the Earth's horizon.
