OMG am I stupid or them?!Plz help!

When I done my cs30/31 last year year I hired the saw and ppe from the colledge for £75.00 so I would check with them first, maybe ask to speak to the instructor sometimes the office staff are not that great,

I wanted to do some courses at Suttleworth. Sent them an email and never bothered to respond. I shall be taking my business else were.

I can lend an ms 260 with a 15'' bar,perfect for the job,but you would have to pick it up from maldon essex or nearby,when do you need it?

RE "lantra card".

 

Training is simply 'them' telling and showing you stuff.

 

Assessment is you telling and showing 'them' stuff.

 

You want an NPTC assessment if you want to progress in this industry.

 

Training can be given to you by anyone. (your mum, your boss, a college or a national organisation line 'LANTRA').

 

If lantra do your training, you get a discount for your NPTC assessment, but to get the discount you need the training course ID number (called a HO number).

 

Lantra issue you with an dedit card sized card, which have the details printed on them, but you wont have that card yet because you havent been trained yet - have you!

 

They may simply be asking if you have already got a lantra card (from woodchipper or brushcutter training for instance) in order to streamline the registration part of the course (i.e. please bring your lantra card if you have one, no worries of you don't)

 

Does that make things clearer???

Steve's MS171 would be fine for the course. I'm just round the corner from him and could lend you a brand new pair of the basic SIP chainsaw trousers - size small.

The only boots that I could lend you are size 43 (approx uk 9).

Could also sort out a helmet, fuel combi can, felling lever, files.

Where in bedfordshire are you ????I might have a spare saw that day also tommyb whos on arbtalk works for shuttleworth in the arb dep or did!! pm him unless he catches this first he should have an idea of what exactly you need.
