Ian is the galaxy the samsung? If so my mate got hold of one pretty much as soon as they were available. He seems impressed but it felt clunky - too small to be an iPad, far to large to be a mobile!

Yep its the samsung, i know its smaller than the ipad but runs the android system got sd port, camera front and back . Just wondering if any good.

Do u have an Iphone Mike? I use mine all the time, the google maps is amazing, the maps are quite dated but the street view is just last year i think, i used it to find a job today and look at another with out leaving the house lol. My memory is rubbish so having all the texts kept on a big page for each person is great, i can look back and see what i said and agreed to. I broke down the other day and didnt know where i was, so i just drop pinned myself on maps and up came my location and post code. superb:thumbup1:

£400 here i think mate, get an iphone and just put it in your pocket, fits perfect in the side pocket of stretch airs or top pocket of stein jacket. Mine has changed my life around, i used to have folders and diarys and maps jammed in a bag, i would usually forget the bag lol. And the apps for ebay and autotrader are great.

Does the ipad need wireless internet? Its not got a phone signal has it so how do you use it when "out in the sticks?" Is there a monthly fee with them? Thats what puts me off an iphone, I'm too tight! My mobile only costs me £12 month includign enough calls and texts so I never need to pay for any.

You need to get an iPad with 3G and a sim and data contract to boot.

You can't just sneak your mobile sim into the iPad as it's a special micro jobbie:sneaky2:

Although I think google maps will store info and maps, you would just have to look at the area your going to get lost in while on a wireless network if you have no sim!
