Last year I bought some little hotties, they slip in your gloves or on your socks, keep warm for up to 12hours. I hardly use them, but a mate who has white-finger swears by them.

Two pairs of thick socks is probably a mistake, if they are two squashed all the air spaces (which give the insulation) are squeezed out. Better to wear 1 pair of quality WOOL walking socks over a pair of fine cotton socks (not sports socks). I wear the M+S ones that you'd normally wear with a suit and tie, you know really thin ones.

Change the cotton ones every day and you can wear the wool ones all week.:001_smile:

tried loosening my boots today and still the left was a problem, so think i'll defo be investing in a decent pair of warm/wooly socks this weekend. Will look at all the suggestions now and go from there.

Try and dry out your boots at night.Put them ontop of a open Door as the air is warmer and stays warmer up high.

Wear your Thick Socks/Cotton Socks combo and change the inner pair at lunchtime.
