Just got in and read this thread, all i can say is Avon "Skin So Soft". 2 types, one is called soft and fresh, this is used by special forces guys and is brill, it even keeps ticks and bugs off you, spray it on but dont rub it in. trust me it really works. the other is winter soft. both are great. if you dont want to get the Avon range then get some Emu Oil, you can get this from Boots, just a small blob of it goes a long way. it is also good for bruises.:001_smile:

I think a lot of the hand care issues are due to 2 things, the modern "low fat" diet, less natural oils in the system, and modern soaps removing the naturally occurring oils the body produces. However, I never moisturise, or apply hand crreams, no cracks splits or sore hands here. Just man up.:001_rolleyes:

I have farming rellies who swear by tubs of Boots own WSP - White Soft Paraffiin. Costs £5-6 for a tub weighing ?1lb or so. They've tried all sorts down the years and stuck with this.

I've found the Norwegian Fisherman's stuff to be about as much use as an ashtray in a hang glider.
