im glad that you are ok Ady , and im sure it has made you think twice before doing anything similar again ! . I once worked for a compqny where the new lad who had not long been in the game did a simalr thing and caught the bottom of his trousers - thankfully he was not hurt BUT as soon as we got back to the yard and had filled out the accident book he was sacked on the spot !. The boss deamed it as groce neglegence . personally now that im an employer i think i would possibly go down the same route .

Anyways im glad that everything is ok and you are not hurt mate

i'll sack myself now dave..

FWIW, i don't believe it was negligence at all,,

i was guilty of being in a bad mood, cos i got wound up by a customer while i was in the tree,,,

if no one ever made mistakes,, we wouldn't need PPE,, or HSE etc etc,,

everyone makes mistakes from time to time thats part of being human - i would call it negligence if this were to hapen again tho :blushing: but im pretty sure the price of a new pair of boots minimalising the proffit in that job should put yu off doing that again  . as for the customer im sure like many on here you will wearn to take their BS with a pinch of salt and crack on with the work
