great reductions matt. you obviously have an eye for them (or a good groundy!)

 

Never listen to the groundy !! If you think it's out of line it usually is ... I find my reductions can look a little to manacured but then every tree is different I find the best looking reductions is we're the tree has made its own line.... If that makes any sense!

 

Just thought I'd post this pic of why it's not a good idea to remove branches off main limbs that are close to the main stem ... I was dead wooding this willow and when i was about half way out the limb sheared off, took a nice swing and left a big tear in the main stem... Maybe a result of lazy thinning? Plenty of white Rot though!

Cracking work Matty, after looking at some trees I hammered in my early career I completely agree now with your less is more approach. I can't do it, mind!

 

Up the woods with a couple of mates and the dogs yesterday.

 

Still chilly down here.
