Interesting job Steve, I love to share my vast experience built up over many years in the industry, but obviously that comes at a price:001_rolleyes::lol: I know it seems obvious, and maybe not feasible now, but cant they drop the lines (ABC?) so you can zip over the top?

for the(lol) hassle of getting the lines dropped we wouldnt have gained much. its working(lol) pretty well anyway.

ignore the 'lols', private joke

Heres some pics from last week. Had to take the ivy off this big ash tree and reduce some of the end weight from some of the end branches. It was a good climb got some foot locking practice.

Cheers mark was a big tree about 65 - 70 ft got a bit of disco leg in the crown not had that for some time  its all good though :laugh1:

Had some big branch walks, mozza took great pleasure in getting me to go right out to the ends "youve missed a branch there danny" LOL.

The owner wanted all the ivy removed, i guess it didnt fit with her big house and garden, was a good job, bit sick of ivy by the end.

Did a rotten Ash fell today. Plenty of life left in the crovn. Rotten as a pair at the base. BUT it felt very stable when climbing and the stump shot shows a lot of reactionary growth to compenate for the decay.

Pieced out the crovn and then felled the butt. Had a feeling that the tree may collapse on the lhs as you can see no holding wood so just had a rope on it and set the hinge on the rhs and then pulled it over. Exactly where planned...
