dont mean to pick will but where is your second lanyard/climbing rope and why is it above your pulley? surely a receipe for disaster?

 

I suspect his groundie didnt point it out to him, but he's here to post the pics, so he must have sorted it.

Why, do you set it below, so the lowering rope can saw through it?

I always have my lanyard above the pully when riging a spare to have it below could be far more serios. I am lanyarded in twice the second is atached to my central d rings.

The lanyard should be above the pulley. If the pully slips then there is a chance the lanyard could get cought up etc.

 

I have the lanyard above the pulley, mostly, especially on stems such as shown in the picture, where there is a chance of it slipping.

Fun and games this week in carrot munching land. Been killing some tall, skinny and half rotten poplars with Ross over the last couple of days. Most about 100ft, felling practice time:001_cool:
