a big chunky redwood, probably a couple thousand years old, with a sucker next to it thats impressive too, had to climb up for a bit of scale. could have parked a landy in its footprint and still been able to walk around it.

That,s a Fransgard isn,t it?..we pulled a load of trees out of a river and up a bank with one of those winches...very powerful...nice pics!

 

Yea it is. We could do with a bigger one to be honest. We've had lots of issues with it mainly cable crushing.

You just gotta love squirrels. The TO said the trees need to stay for the summer as "nesting habitat". The squirrels must have heard our pleading to get them dropped. so they have gone to town on these two Sycamore and stripped the bark off most of the branches.
