That's the (very sketchy) plan. I was thinking of anchoring to the larger neighbour and then work this one. Most of it can come out in one big piece, plenning to reduce to around where the wound begins at the top, or just below the first crotch. Can't decide yet.

I would love to fell it straight, but there is more air than wood at the base. Even to get a pulling line to drag it over. Seemed stable enough when in was watching it move in the wind, seems brittle compared to the ones next to it, although that might need managing soon.

Today, I was going to post pics of a big Cat powered tracked mulcher at work, but it broke down Then I was going to post pics of a prototype flail in action, but the Police turned up following complaints from local residents THEN I was going to put up pics of me working on the splitter in glorious sunshine, but the seal in the top of the ram blew and I got a facefull of Hydrauic oil, so i came home. Some days you should just stay indoors and play soothing music.
