Horrible, dead syc dismantle from today. I was quite happy when sitting on top that i hadn't come to any harm! :biggrin:

and a LA spec extended limb reductions on an oak. Not terribly exciting pictures, sorry.

 

 

 

Were they Oysters running uo the side of the Syc trunk, Alex ?

not sure, they were running all the way up an old wound from 10' up to 40'

the bark was peeling away with loads of sooty stuff underneath. there wasn't any brackets on the base of the tree.

Any kretzschmaria or gano on the stem Bart ?

No fb's on the stem, there around though, next but one tree a beech is host to Kretz & Merrip, and there are a few sapro gano's on lying dead wood.
