todays job was clearing another building site. blackthorn scrub and some hazel and bramble etc. also this medium sized ash straight fell which was nice. was about 33" diameter used a 30" bar she went over before i went round to nip off the other 3" from the other side y theres a rip. landed exactly as i wanted it to even though it was far from best cut in the world soooo guess jobs a good'en :thumbup:

I'm glad these pictures came out - the screen is broken on my camera, so you can't see what you are taking a picture of! Quite an enjoyable job today - taking down/felling various big pop's, in a little private wood.

The first pic is of the other climber in the neighbouring tree,

second - view from the top,

third - managed to catch the lump of wood in flight, just before hitting the pond (the customer said to leave anything that landed in the pond as he could get it out with the tractor in the summer!)

fourth - two of the stems waiting to be felled

After a busy week with my own work it was a pleasure to help Justin with this little fell next to the cut, on the edge of Bath, sunny day, natural crotch rigging, (mostly), Ali dropping a lowered chunk on his 200t, with me now to fix this weekend. big old 120cc Sachs, big audience for the fell, all went well.
