It's been hung up for two days, the woman said the right hand poplar has moved aswell, it is leaning more than it was. Thats my anchor tree!

 

I've looked at the base and theres no obvious signs of movement.

 

You'll probably recognise the road, its the one at the back of my house toward the main road. Going to shut one side of the road in rush hour, bollocks to them, they only use it as a rat run anyway.

 

I'm just going to come down ontop of it and not anchor to it, drop all the weight off straight into the field and then I will put in a lowering rope to take its weight and section it down.

 

Did the first one with Liam, I owe him half a day.

Morning job, very dead Ash on a island in a lake of a really nice place in Wiltshire.

 

Set my line in the Redwood just in case then proceeded to smash it down.

Found this reprobate working near me felling a storm damaged poplar. I tried to pursuade him to top the tree (even phoned Ed for support), but he wasnt having it! Nice work on a crappy tree

 

By the looks of things you need to have your hands in you pockets to work for Dean (Pecontools)!!

Cleared the other tree up as well by 2pm.

 

That's what a day should be, nice and steady, plenty of time for cuppas and plenty of time to warm your hands in your pocket.

 

Would have been different if I'd have been paying them, would have finished by 11am

 

Lesson there for everyone, if you befriend other tree surgeons in your area, they all stop if they're passing and give you a hand, for nowt!
