Glyphosate colouring - how? Food dye?

Hi all

Thought it a good idea to colour my glyphosate mix so I know where it's been applied. Would food dye do it, or is there something else commonly used? 'spose I could just try it of course.

Food dye only good for very small applications not enough colour in it , the agri dye is the best pricy but goes along way . other things i have seen people use , water based paint , concrete colouring , blue camping toilet flush , pen ink .

Ah, cheers. So nothing reacts with the glyphosate and reduces its effect. 'Spose anything water-based will do it.

I use drain tracing dye. Easy to see and cheap

There is such a thing as Horticultural Die, made pretty much for that purpose.

yes the product in the above post works well, also you can buy powder dye that you can just sprinkle a bit it the knapsack this works fine although the coluor i got was red which didnt seem as good as blue that i had used.

p.s they sell it in the vet chemical shop in bandon.

Do loads of bracken spraying in summer. I always used a blue dye. Try greentech. Just mix a bit in the water, works great. Is also good, as you know if you have a leak or spillage, as you can see the stain. Tried food colouring years age (rubbish)

Same here, we use Irradant blue marker dye in our glysophate We spray the headlands and road ways of our plantations with it.

Forget the name of the blue dye I was using - will dig it out and post later.

 

Bought it in a one litre bottle same time as I bought the chemical. 60ml of it in a 16 litre knapsack for spot spraying was plenty, just don't get it on your shirt!!
