Just wanted to say hi to all the forumers before you eat me alive :001_smile:

and now I need your opinion...:001_rolleyes:

Do you think that women can actually perform as good as blokes in arboricultural jobs? Do you know any females doing it at all (except your secretaries of course:001_tongue:)

I think women can make fine arbs, they are naturaly more sensitive creatures and would probably take great care over thier cuts and approach to tree care, unlike the guys who love getting into the Big stuff.

Ive seen a woman groundy put guys to shame, and Jo is breaking climbing records so yes, women can make fine arbs, and even show the guys up, so welcome!

the sport, art and job could do with more females, why it might even get the male dominated proffesion to "refine its conduct"

Hi Oddbird, the wife grounds for me. She,s excellent at it, allright so you need to cut smaller chunks when sectioning down as she,s not the neanderthal type. She,s also much better at dealing with the customer and getting tea and cakes out of them.

Welcome! More girls!!!!

Ive always been a firm beliver in mixed worksites....To many hens makes an awful lot of noice and too many coocks....

Couple of years ago when I was in Stockholm I saw two females tackeling a big tree and the comment that was made by two builders that passed has stuch with me "Thats a job for slender girls, big sturdy boys would never be able to do that, they'd just be to heavy!"

A bit sexist in a way (but a good way)

Welcome to the forum.:thumbup1:

Depends on what type of "Arboricultural Jobs" you are talking about and at what level you want to take skills to.
