99% on here will tell you geckos’s mate,

but as I got a good deal on them ,I’ve just brought some alloy bashlins:confused1:

Cheap ones off ebay!:laugh1: I have some Velcro ones, they're nice once they're on, much more comfy than the traditional buckle style. only trouble is they are a bit tricky to get on tight, but thats not the end of the world. deffinatley worth having imo.

I just bought some Gecko`s and i think they are splendid! I borrowed someone elses and wasn`t that impressed but once you adjust them properly they are really good. Best £190 i ever spent.

ive a set of alloy bashlins with velcro pads and theyre GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTT

tried the carbon fiber ones and wasnt impressed, just diddnt fit me properly, and weight diffrence was tiny

I never believed velcro would hold you tight enough, but Jon Turnbull, champ climber persuaded me on Honey Bros. stand a few years ago, so I bit the bullet and bought some carbon fibre Geckos.

Great move. Most of my work is on spikes, and I can wear them all day with no discomfort at all.

The alloy Bashlins look good as well, and I'm pretty sure you can get velcro top-wraps for them.

Don't by cheapo Forrest Gump spikes. You will hate them and buy more expensive ones anyway!

Gecko's for me! velcro is the way forward.. or the top wrap atleast.

Check out ebay for good deals.. the carbon fibre ones come in small medium and large so i would go to a local dealer first to see which fits best.:thumbup1:

only downfall for the geckos is the under foot L shaped bit.. its alot bigger than the bashlin so its all tip toes and heel when your squirreling out to the robin pearches
