dead elm removal

Still plenty to cut up here.They're great to do once you get over the ''dead'' tree thing.As said before are very fibrous.Very seldom you get one with a fresh butt but if rotten it only goes up the trunk about 2-3 metres before you hit sound wood.Have fun BTS:001_smile:

Hollow is good though, its lighter to carry out in rings lol

not sure if i agree with the other comments ,depends how dead, i have had dead elm break up on the swing when rigging if its full of white rot your ~~~~ed,it can be like iron or so mush you will get saws stuck in the gob cut!l

unlike the rings on this one i did earlier in the year, very good fun dismantling it though came down smoothest rigging ever so far everything just went perfect

i dont do rigging much mate, just go higher or aim better. ha ha

this one had a limb break up on it when i rigged it out about 8 years befor i felled it ..i was seriously worried when we dismantled but went fine.

i remember that Matty, its when i first joined, you were a bit wary about it and then had it on the deck in about an hour lol. I liked your style with the big say, plenty of power and no need to stretch to far, especially on ivy stuff.
